I am terribly bummed by that. I have been enjoying the GP2 class more this year than usual. They remind me of the F1 cars from back in the good old days of Mansell, Prost and Senna.

GP2 is predominantly European with a couple fly always such as Malaysia Bahrain and UAE.

They haven't had a GP2 support race in Texas before, so I guess they're continuing the trend. In 2012 they had Porsche GT3 Cup and Ferrari Challenge, in 2013 they had Ferrari Challenge and Vintage GP, and this year I don't know what they're having but I guess GP2 doesn't come to the states for some reason.

Hasn't been a GP2 or GP3 race any of the years that the race has been held in Austin.

4.0l V8 engine, 10,000rpm and all the wonderful sounds that you are missing from F1.

I know...I just have been following GP2 racing more closely since the new F1 drivetrain rules took effect. I was hoping they would show the States some love.

Yeah, I know. The races that they have shown in the states have just been so much fun to watch that I was hoping to get another fix when F1 came to America. Hopefully they will broadcast the GP2 race in the UAE.

Right there with you. I attended the race each of the first two years and was hoping for GP2/3 support for each one as the racing is generally pretty great and the young guys really go for it and tear equipment up. Alas, we're left with GT3 cup (albeit the SuperCup this year, which should be great), the Ferrari Challenge, and the very awesome Formula Vintage.
